Mbosso, born Mbwana Yusuph Kilungi on October 3, 1995, in Kibiti, Pwani Region, Tanzania, is a renowned Tanzanian singer and songwriter celebrated for his contributions to the Bongo Flava and Afro-pop genres. He is currently signed under the WCB Wasafi record label, founded by Diamond Platnumz.
Early Life and Career
Mbosso began his musical journey as a member of the boy band Yamoto Band between 2013 and 2015, adopting the stage name “Maromboso.” The group gained significant recognition, winning the Best Band award at the Kilimanjaro Music Awards in 2015. After the band’s disbandment in 2015, Mbosso embarked on a solo career, releasing hits like “Nadekezwa” and “Hodari,” which won Video of the Year at the HiPipo Awards in 2019.
